Agri-essence has always been devoted to producing top-notch patchouli oil that can match the elite perfumes that are cherished by many perfume lovers in the world. From farming our patchouli plant to the final extraction of the patchouli oil. Agri- essence exercises a precision approach to each section of the process to ensure the quality of our Patchouli Oil is unmatched by any.
We can extract Patchouli Oil with PA 30% and 50% directly from our process. Our separate collection tank allows us to get to these precise patchouli alcohol content without compromising the quality. What we get is a clear light golden yellow patchouli oil with alcohol content of 30% and 50% to match any of our customer requirements.
Our improved processing further allows us to reach a patchouli alcohol content of 65% with minimum loss of oil and retain the purities of the patchouli aromatic terpenes within. This process is without solvent and thus eradicates the harmfulness that comes with it.
Our Patchouli Oil 65% produce is well revered in the perfume world as it depicts a soft woody aroma and long-lasting effect.
Our Patchouli Oil 50% produce is also a serious contender in the making of perfume as it also packs the character of a woody and earthy aroma that boosts the profile of a perfume immediately.

Our Patchouli Oil 50% produce is also a serious contender in the making of perfume as it also packs the character of a woody and earthy aroma that boosts the profile of a perfume immediately.
Without a doubt, the Patchouli Oil 30% produced by us is the most sought-after in the market as we discover more of its profile. Using low-temperature extraction, Patchouli Oil PA30% emits more variations of the patchouli aroma that you won’t get from high- heat steam distillation.
Agri-essence engaged a Perfumer to curate a perfume using these three ranges of Patchouli Oil. The objective is to understand and differentiate the profile of each Patchouli Oil given to the perfume. The result was indeed significant and the variations from each were overwhelming giving the audience a scent that kindles memories liken of the 1001 Arabian Nights.
The perfumes were carefully concocted by the perfumer. All the ingredients used were the same except the different types of patchouli oil. Lavender, Tobacco Leaf, Sage, Vetiver, Pepper, and Fir Balsam were added together with patchouli oil. The aroma from each bottle of perfume tells distinctively the variations.
Tobacco base accord for Patchouli Project Description: Woody Aromatic Spicy
- Top note: Lavender, Juniper Berry,
- Middle note: Clove bud, Cashmeran, Tobacco leaf
- Bottom note: Cedarwood, Fir Balsam
The rest of the Peaks are the random time frames of any components above that are less than active and not recognized like Sage and Vetiver, pepper, etc.
Ratio for 100ml EDP:
- Tobacco Accord: 17.5 gram
- Patchouli 65, 50, 30: 3.5 gram
- Please add Ethanol to make it 100ml/gram.
The Perfumes were mixed according to the portion described above. We obtained 3 x 100ml of the perfume after mixing the Patchouli oil 65%, 50%, and 30% in each bottle. The perfumes were tested using a smell strip. A narrative of these perfumes was as follows:
Patchouli Oil 65% Perfume projects a smooth, long, and deep redolence of the Tobacco Leaf accompanied by Lavender, Clove, Vetiver, and Pepper as it fills in the surroundings. Patchouli Oil was detected as well, and it brings up the rest of the fragrance notes like a beautifully orchestrated piece of ensemble music at play.
Patchouli Oil 50% perfume projects a stronger, deeper, rusty fragrance as it fills up the surroundings. The fragrance of the Tobacco leaf and Clove inside the perfume was boosted by the patchouli oil 50% which clearly “lit up” the scent. Unlike the 65%, this perfume reminds one of a rugged, musky, and sunset in the wild-west kind of aroma.
Patchouli Oil 30% perfume projects a deep, rusty scent too but lean towards the Patchouli Oil 65% more than the 50%. This gives one the subtle feeling of a long hot day cooling off into the night summer.
Each perfume’s character stands out on its own. Each has a long-lasting scent that carries through the days if left alone. The character of our patchouli oil within each perfume was able to define the aroma and bring it instantly to the users.
Below is a compilation of the strength of the 3 patchouli oil perfumes over a period of 9 days. The scent of these perfumes varies between the three and the aroma emitted over the 9 days also varied. The originality of the perfumes smelled on the first day was different from the 5th days onwards for PA50% and PA30%. This could mean more of the terpenes had been evaporated. After Day 9, the 3 patchouli oil perfume retains very little resemblance to the perfume, but traces of the patchouli aromatic compound still can be detected from the PA65%.
Description | Day 1 | Day 3 | Day 5 | Day 7 | Day 9 |
Patchouli Oil PA 65% | Strong | Strong | Strong | Medium | Weak |
Patchouli Oil PA 50% | Strong | Strong | Medium | Medium | Weak |
Patchouli Oil PA 30% | Strong | Strong | Medium | Weak | Weak |
